Winnow Literary is open for poetry submissions to Issue Three, guest edited by Dr. Karen Jacobs, between August 15th, 2026 - October 15th, 2026.

We invite submissions from all writers:  new, emerging, or established. Occupational therapy practitioners, occupational therapy faculty, and OT/OTA students are encouraged to submit, as well as clients, patients, and past, present, or future consumers of occupational therapy services. Interprofessional health care providers, and writers-at-large are also highly encouraged to submit. 

Please send 1-3 poems in the body of an email or as an attachment to winnowliterary@gmail.com with the subject line “Poetry Submission”. Please include a brief biography (written in third-person format) along with your submission. If your work is accepted, we request first serial publication rights in a digital and print format. Simultaneous submissions (sending your work to another journal while awaiting a response from us) is fine, but please do let us know as soon as possible if your work is accepted elsewhere. All submitted poems should be otherwise unpublished. We request that you please do not use generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) as part of the writing or editing process. Our editorial team is committed to adapting our submissions process as needed to support individual needs or disability accommodations.
